This is a project for the power supplier NEW. It is intended to show their efford towards sustainable energy supply and a greener future.
My job composed of a couple of screen inserts as well as 2d/3d tracking and roto tasks.
The original Plate of Shot 030 including a cart with tracking markers which caused a bit more problems than it solved 😉
And the finished Shot. The final Grading was done afterwards by another Artist this is why it looks a bit different compared to the final version you can see up above.
The sea-city in the background was rendered in 3ds Max as a still frame and with a couple of 2d effects brought to "life" by a collegue of mine.
This was the most complicated shot. The screen is occluded during a huge section of the shot and the Depth of Field is so shallow that the tracking markers on the screen disappeared at some point.
I tried different 2d techniques(planar tracking, point tracking, manual aligning,...) which didn't really work to my liking. In the end I did a 3d track in Syntheyes grabbing onto every little bit of trackable point in the shot(which weren't too many). It isn't perfect but as the focus is on the talent speaking to the audience I think in the edit it isn't to noticeable if it slides a bit 😋
