Day 107
Unfortunately I had so much to do that I wasn't able to create something :-(
Day 108
I just had limited time today to sat down for something new so I decided to try to integrate some CG buildings from Video Co Pilots Metropolitan Pack into a HDRI of a skyline.
Day 109
For a long time now I wanted to do something with my Pulp Fiction-"Action Figures" and finally I came up with something interesting and challenging. It will probably be an ongoing project also with it's own project site here on Behance.
I searched the web for a Chevy Nova from 1974, which is the car Jules and Vincent drive in the movie, but couldn't find a free one so instead I used a Ford Mustang from 1966 which looked quite similar and as we can only see it from the inside it would do the trick.
After setting up the lighting and rendering the car, I photographed the figures which was really challenging as I couldn't get really close to them with my DSLR (my smartphone doesn't have a good enough cam). Also finding the right angle and height to match the virtual camera inside of C4d was tricky so I tried to get it as close as possible and than adjust it in post. There is probably a better way but I couldn't find it :-)
After all the "plates" where done I created Alpha channels for the figures in Photoshop and brought everything into AFX where I further adjusted the perspective (with the puppet tool) and matched the colors.
I'm not sure if I will create future pictures in the same way or if I try to capture them directly in camera. We will see ;-)
Day 110
Using a Particular Preset to create a painterly image out of a photograph (in my case here a 3d render of the Bela Kiss DVD and Blu Ray cases) I got, with some additional Effects, this render.
Day 111
As the Winter Olympics 2014 started today I sat down and created this 3d render using the offical Logo.
Day 112
I was away all day so I couldn't create anything new.
Day 113
As the sun was shinning while it still rained I went outside with my DSLR and took some photos
